  • We offer a range of programs, including special education, English language development, gifted education, and counseling services to support diverse student needs.

  • Safety is our top priority. We have secure campus entry points, regular emergency drills, and on-site staff trained in emergency response. Our visitor management system ensures that all guests are signed in and monitored.

  • The building is open from 7:50am-4:00pm and the students are in class from 8:15am-3:20pm. 

  • Registration is straightforward and can be done online or in person at the school office. Required documents include proof of residence, birth certificate, and immunization records.

  • We welcome family involvement!  Your involvement strengthens our school community and supports your child's learning experience. Please check Harmony on a regular basis to stay up on your students’ grade, attendance and disciplines. 

  • Technology is integrated to enhance learning, with resources such as interactive whiteboards, tablets, and educational software that support students' digital literacy and engagement.

Mission and Vision Statement:

The mission of South Vermillion Middle School is to enable all students to develop excellence in academic achievement and social responsibility by providing a variety of well-rounded programs in a safe, positive environment that includes parents and community. 

The vision of South Vermillion Middle School is to strive to improve academic success and social responsibility by focusing on higher attendance rates, improved study habits, strong communications with parents/guardians and community, and promoting mental health for students and staff.

We also prioritize cultural competence among our staff and create safe spaces where every student can express their unique identity.
